This is the basic cheese fondue recipe that came with our set from the 1980s.

  • 1 clove garlic
  • 250 ml dry white wine
  • 200 g gruyère cheese
  • 200 g emmental cheese
  • 2 tsp cornflour
  • 2 tbsp kirsch or brandy
